Introduction and Featured Music: kRino – “Grand Deception”

Welcome to DCMX Radio on Revealing Talk Radio. This is Max. I really appreciate the audience and the listeners, and the topics we are going to jump around on tonight. We are going to hit it all again. We will talk a little bit about the TSA, talk about hacking, talk about Facebook. We will start off with a little celebration of a featured artist we talked about a couple of shows ago. We will play some clips and audio along in this broadcast as well.

We are starting off tonight with one of my personal favorites. kRino, out of Houston, is a rapper, a lyricist, an activist, and an entertainer who unfortunately was unable to squeeze into the Enlightened Entertainers and Activists show that you can find over on YouTube. I want to give a shout out to kRino. Really enlightening rhymes that drive your mind. He is not one to think conventionally at all. He is totally disillusioned with the system and it comes through in his lyrics. His track “Grand Deception” is really something. Some great material, and we have it up on DecryptedMatrix.com for you to check out.

Loyal listeners, thank you again. It seems like we are hitting new people on the site every day. It looks like the sun never sleeps on the DecryptedMatrix show on Revealing Talk Radio, so it is a good feeling to know that the show is having an impact. Thank you to anybody who wants to send messages, please do, at DecryptedMatrix.com. Keep your head up high. Do not forget to check out the solutions we have up there on the site. We are not just promoting awareness on problems of corruption without actually offering solutions.

Bob Tuskin is always on top of conspiracy news, and Bob and I had a chance to talk on the show. He brought some solutions, thirteen key foundational proposed solutions for where humanity needs to go, things that would need to happen in order for us to rise above this permanent war landscape that we seem to have. Go up there and see the solutions, see what we can do to start turning around some of these things. It involves showing people respect for all cultures and languages. It makes sense. It is pretty easy to digest, simple, and at least the place to start. Check it out.

NDAA Appeals Update: Judge Forrest’s Ruling Blocked

The big news of the day goes to the NDAA. The appeal situation update today is grim. An extended stay has been issued on the block. Essentially they are lifting the block. Previously, Judge Katherine Forrest said this is unconstitutional. She was not going to let it fly. She blocked the indefinite detention provisions of the National Defense Authorization Act passed by Congress and signed by President Obama.

Now a higher court has issued an extended temporary stay of the district court judge’s ruling, preventing her from using the injunction provisions of the NDAA. The appeals court judges issued this on Tuesday afternoon, finding flaws with the scope and rationale of the district court judge’s order.

They conclude that the public interest weighs in favor of granting the government’s motion for a stay. Appeals court judges Denny Chin, Raymond Lohier, and Christopher Droney wrote in a three-page order. They also expedited the appeal. Imagine that. The judges continued, in their memorandum, that the government clarified quickly that based on the stated activities, the plaintiffs are in no danger whatsoever of being captured and detained by the US military. On its face, the statute does not affect the existing rights of American citizens.

So the government’s trial team is here saying do not worry, it will not actually be used against journalists. Interesting comment we have from Joe Biden, who has the nerve to say that Julian Assange is a high-tech terrorist. From my perspective, whether there is a conspiracy behind it or not, Assange is obviously releasing information born of good journalism about war crimes to be investigated. So Julian Assange is a high-tech terrorist when the US government is flying robots over weddings in Pakistan and Afghanistan and bombing them from forty thousand feet? Who is the high-tech terrorist?

Joe Biden says Assange ought to die for releasing information on WikiLeaks about war crimes, the same type of stuff that he actually supports from the other side of his mouth. Joe Biden says his drones are fine, but you are a high-tech terrorist. This stuff is being actually talked about in the open as if people are not going to call it out. Joe Biden, you should expect to get called on that.

Banking Industry: Self-Regulation and the Romney-Pawlenty Connection

In news that is likely to surprise no one, Tim Pawlenty has stepped down as campaign co-chair for the Romney campaign in order to pursue a career as a lobbyist for the banking industry. He has announced that the best way to prevent further apocalyptic financial meltdowns is to allow banks to voluntarily regulate themselves.

The former Republican governor of Minnesota and unsuccessful presidential candidate announced last week that he is stepping down as Romney’s campaign co-chair in order to head the Financial Services Roundtable, a lobbying group that represents the largest financial services companies in the country. At his first press conference since announcing his new role, Pawlenty urged banks to voluntarily stop doing stupid things.

He said from the Roundtable’s Washington office, these are enormous institutions with tens of thousands of employees. In many cases, there is always someone doing something off track. That is human nature. But the obligation is to have controls in place that minimize the likelihood of that, to do it voluntarily.

Pawlenty is not alone in this view. On financial regulation, Mitt Romney has said he would like to repeal the Dodd-Frank law, which was enacted in the aftermath of the financial crisis. Romney told a roundtable of business leaders last year, at the ironically named restaurant The Common Man, that the extent of regulation on the banking industry has become extraordinarily burdensome following Dodd-Frank.

So these guys are going around saying that the banking industry should just regulate itself, right after the banking industry almost brought the apocalypse upon itself and essentially had to be bailed out. Now we find out that multi-trillions were given to US banks and foreign banks, initially undisclosed. They just deal with digits. They create money in their system. Billions and trillions given away at the stroke of a keyboard, and yet we cannot even get money into the education system so that teachers can get paid and kids can go to school and have supplies. It is absolutely mind-blowing. It is unconscionable that our war products and advanced high-tech police state and surveillance technology get all the funding, but we cannot actually educate the kids and prepare them for the traps of life.

TSA Theft, Full-Body Scanners, and Voting Machine Concerns

The TSA is getting arrested for theft-related incidents all the time. This is not unusual. It is totally commonplace for TSA agents to steal stuff and rifle through bags. I personally had a nice watch lifted from my most accessible luggage, not even a checked bag where you lose access to it for an extended period of time, but right there going through the belts and the metal detector. There is a big business in this stuff on the side.

Police have arrested a TSA agent for theft every week since 2003. Not one terrorist has been caught by the TSA. Meanwhile, the FBI sets up these sting operations all the time where the person involved was given the parts by the FBI. Remember the story of the first World Trade Center attack on the basement? That guy was being given the components by the FBI.

And by the way, the full-body scanners are not safe. They are purposely unsafe. The industry knows they are unsafe. This is another reason the healthcare industry is making people more dependent. These scanners are bombarding you with radiation you definitely do not need. The operators who work close to these machines, some of them are already being affected. They are trying to squash that information from spreading, but definitely try to avoid the body scanners if you can.

And the voting machines, oh boy. Electronic voting machines can be hacked and controlled. This is well documented at this point.

Hacking, Zero-Day Exploits, and Cyber Warfare

We are finding out now from a Cambridge professor that people are adding security flaws to open-source software and selling those same flaws to governments. This brings us to zero-day exploits. Zero-days are super high-value vulnerabilities, not exploits for viruses or malware, but think of them as a back door, a way to get in and exploit a specific vulnerability. If it has not been publicly known and has not been distributed, if the networks and vendors do not know about it, and there is no known fix, no known patch that has gone public, that is a zero-day.

These are extraordinarily valuable, anywhere from five thousand to ten thousand dollars a pop, or more, for freelance developers selling zero-day vulnerabilities to the highest bidder. In many cases lately, that buyer is our government or private contractors working on behalf of the government.

I did a show on this as part of the YouTube series, probably around mid-July. That show was really focused on hacking and internet security. We talked about the Black Hat and White Hat conferences and how personas are being created to manipulate people online.

Think of it like Star Wars: A New Hope. Luke Skywalker fires from his X-wing down the Death Star’s exhaust port and destroys the whole space station. As much work as the Empire put into building it, the Rebel forces’ attack exploited a carefully constructed zero-day exploit. In the same way, developers are creating and deliberately delivering software covered in holes so that when they are exploited, an attacker can get in.

Intelligence agencies need these exploits and they pay considerable sums for them, because of what can be achieved. As we have seen with the Stuxnet virus, which targeted Iran’s uranium enrichment project by sending centrifuges out of their proper operating parameters. It was a very sophisticated piece of work.

There was also the Flame virus that popped up and had similar signatures. It seemed like old-school hackers put this together using some vintage code. It was very complex and allowed for payloads to be deployed in very secretive methods, deploying specific packages in certain ways where they could deliver different levels of impact. They can do the same thing with viruses now. It is really advanced and complex, and it looks like the source came from either the United States or Israel, or a combination of both, the entities with the most resources to create something like that.

Stay vigilant. You should probably reformat your hard drive periodically if you are a heavy web user. If you are more advanced, you can use a virtual machine, a fresh machine every time you want to go surfing. That way you always have a fresh install and just reboot from that same base virtual machine image, so you get a fresh experience every time. That is one way to protect yourself.

The cyber legislation going on right now is alarming. It would allow record companies to hold onto your data and retain it for an extended period of time. Every website you have visited, everything you have purchased, everything is being documented. We know that even the local police force now has the technology to pull up your text messages in real time, your Facebook comments in real time, and drone footage over your house in real time.

Patriot Act Targeting Activists and the War on Whistleblowers

The NDAA, the National Defense Authorization Act, absolutely shreds the Constitution and the rights to speech, privacy, due process, and protections that have been fought for over hundreds of years. On top of that, the Patriot Act is being used to target and squash peaceful political activists. The FBI and other law enforcement agencies are using the Patriot Act as a resource to terrorize political, environmental, and animal activists who are not willing to accept the status quo.

Just recently, the FBI used terrorism and espionage powers to investigate individuals who attended film screenings of a documentary that focused on the practice of natural gas fracking and what impact it has on the environment and communities. The FBI has filed over one hundred sixty-four thousand suspicious activity reports. Activists who did not follow government policies are being flagged. In California, twenty-seven activists are set to go on trial for protest actions. In Pennsylvania, people face terrorism charges for writing with chalk on sidewalks.

That is just the beginning of a frightening nationwide trend. Everyday people are being arrested for the most ridiculous things, like stepping outside of a designated free speech zone. The US government has confirmed the FBI and other branches of law enforcement use the Patriot Act to apply counterterrorism tactics and tools designed to fight terrorism against peaceful domestic activists, stepping on the freedoms of speech and assembly.

Obama claims to be running a transparent government but has actually declared war on transparency, increasing surveillance by three hundred and sixty-one percent. Obama does not answer to the people. He says what he has to say to get through the day. That is what every president has done.

They are not transparent. They are actually declaring war on whistleblowers, which is shooting the messenger. When the government goes after whistleblowers, these whistleblowers are talking about corruption that is affecting humanity. These people are being prosecuted for coming forward. If you are in an unfortunate geography like Syria, Iraq, Iran, or even Afghanistan, bloggers in Bahrain especially are being pulled from their homes at night, secretly detained, tortured, and never seen again.

The companies enabling this surveillance technology to identify activist bloggers are American companies. Blue Coat and others are selling this technology globally. It has shown up in Syria. The Assad regime was using Blue Coat technology to identify activists. Come on, as humans, there is no excuse for this. I do not care what geography you are in. There is no excuse for a human to kill another human.

Occupy Wall Street protesters are getting elbowed in the face and hit with pepper spray for protesting banking corruption, an obvious problem that has existed for years. Cops are diving, kicking, and elbow-dropping people who are barely stepping out of line, or not even stepping out of line at all, just picking random people off the ground and throwing zip-tie cuffs on them. Journalists are getting arrested for being in the wrong place at the wrong time with their cameras. Recording equipment is being smashed and destroyed when cops are caught on camera overreaching their power.

Thomas Jefferson’s Dark Side and the Contradictions of the Founding

To squeeze in one more topic before we go, there is an interesting article on the dark side of Thomas Jefferson that challenges the long-held perception of Jefferson as the benevolent slave holder. Check it out at Red Ice Creations.

Consider the five words of the Declaration of Independence: all men are created equal. Thomas Jefferson shattered an ancient formula which governed human affairs. Until 1776, from the hour of their birth, some men were marked out for subjection and others for rule. In his original draft of the Declaration of Independence, Jefferson denounced the slave trade as a cruel war against human nature itself, violating its most sacred rights of life and liberty.

As historian John Chester Miller put it, the inclusion of Jefferson’s strictures on the slave trade committed the United States to the abolition of slavery. That was the way it was interpreted by some of those who read it at the time as well. Massachusetts freed the slaves on the strength of the Declaration of Independence, weaving Jefferson’s language into the state constitution. Six other states amended Jefferson’s words. In all of their founding documents they wrote that all free men are created equal.

The authors of those state constitutions knew what Jefferson meant and could not accept it. Ultimately, the anti-slavery passages were struck from the final version of the Declaration. There is an interesting contradiction here. Check out the article on the dark side of Thomas Jefferson and the complexities of the founding era.
