Breaking News: UK Police Surround Ecuadorean Embassy Over Julian Assange
Right now in London, history is being made and it is not being picked up by mainstream media at all. WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has been completely surrounded by UK Metropolitan Police. They called earlier today and officially threatened to storm the Embassy of Ecuador to arrest Julian Assange should he not surrender this evening.
What makes this timing interesting is that Ecuadorean President Rafael Correa is set to announce the final decision on the request for asylum at seven AM local time, which is about two hours from now. The UK police warned earlier that they have completely surrounded the building and publicly said that if he does not surrender, they will arrest him regardless of what the asylum results are. Rafael Correa has asked why they feel they can do this. The legality of it is hotly contested right now with serious legal issues at play.
Four police officers have reportedly gone into the building, with about fifty or so outside. We are not sure if they actually reached inside the embassy itself. Unconfirmed reports say Assange might not actually be in the building. Some hackers online have been involved as well, with WikiLeaks and Anonymous groups claiming responsibility for DDoS attacks on the Ustream site. The Jester is also claiming to be involved, positioning himself as an enemy of freedom of information.
There is also this interesting pizza delivery incident. Somebody ordered pizza to the embassy while the whole world was watching. The delivery guy showed up with a helmet on, was about the same size and build as Julian Assange, covered head to toe with no skin showing. He went through the front doors, was apparently turned away, came back out with the pizza, and got back in the car. Some people are saying that might have actually been Assange. Highly unlikely, but hey, anything is possible.
The Assange Extradition Chess Game: Sweden, the UK, and the US
Sweden has been trying to question Julian Assange over these so-called rape allegations, but the Ecuadorean embassy has invited them in and said you can come interview him anytime you want, you are welcome to walk right in. They have done this for rapists and murderers in the past, getting people to come from Sweden to conduct interviews on site. Why not this time? On this case, they refuse to do that. It is totally different. They refuse to come question him on site so that Assange does not have to leave the country, and they are saying he has to.
Now the UK has been asked to enforce the requirement to extradite him to Sweden for these charges. But that is not what it is about. Sweden really does not care about those charges. The accusers have shady backgrounds tied to the CIA with previous intelligence jobs. It is very likely that those charges were manufactured at the behest of the USA. The USA is pulling the strings. Sweden is refusing to go question Assange at the Ecuadorean embassy, which forces the UK to step in and extradite to Sweden, but we know they would just hand him over to the USA.
People say why does he not just go to Sweden and face the charges. Because it is not about those charges. They will hand him over to the USA because Sweden does whatever the USA wants, for whatever reason, whether it is blackmail, bribery, or political pressure. All types of methods are used to get countries to do what bigger and more powerful countries want them to do. We are seeing this happening in action right now. They want Julian Assange so bad they can taste it, but they might not get him.
What does this mean for other activists? We have no idea. What does this mean for other people? South America in general has long been a haven for expatriates and activists, which is clear why Assange sought the protection of the Ecuadorean government. He is high-profile and he has won a battle, but the US government is very careful about how they go after people. There are economic sanctions, bully tactics, economic bullying they can absolutely deploy.
Stonehenge: Ancient Solar Observatory on Ley Lines
Radiocarbon dating of Stonehenge indicates that building at that site began around 3100 BC, about five thousand years ago at least, and ended around 1600 BC. The Neolithic people were the first people to practice agriculture in the British Isles around 4000 BC. They had permanent settlements for the first time and engaged in activities beyond the basic task of keeping yourself alive. They were the first ones to enjoy entertainment and arts. Stonehenge began to be built by the people after around 3000 BC. Henges were built all over the British Isles. Today there are about a thousand known, with new ones being uncovered on a regular basis. They are similar but not exactly the same as stone circles elsewhere in the world. Something to ponder: similar but not exactly the same.
The entrance to Stonehenge is roughly at the northeast point of the henge. Just outside the henge is the Heel Stone. What makes Stonehenge special is how it is connected to the rising and setting of the sun. These people had an intimate knowledge of the rising and setting of the sun, especially how it changes throughout the year and over time. At the summer solstice, the sun rises over the Heel Stone, exactly aligned as seen from the center of the stone circle into the Altar Stone. Today it is a major event and crowds of up to thirty-five thousand come to Stonehenge to experience the summer solstice.
At the midwinter solstice, the setting sun sinks between two uprights of the largest trilithon and drops behind the Altar Stone, symbolizing the death of the year and the birth of the new year. Many academics argue that this event is far more important than the summer solstice. There are other stellar correlations as well. The sun and moon awareness of Stonehenge goes further, with the numbers of stones set in configurations that correspond to the numbers of days between full moons and the number of years in a lunar cycle, so it could be used to track the lunar cycle.
So here we have Stonehenge, four thousand years ago, with these monstrous stones that we do not even really know how they moved and put into place given how heavy they are. Researchers are also finding that ley lines crisscross the center of Stonehenge. Ley lines are natural magnetic phenomena that run across the countryside. Ancient monuments are often sited at the intersection of these ley lines. Even in Saxon times, churches were built on ley lines. If you see a church aligned on a different axis instead of the traditional east-west, the odds are that a ley line runs straight down the aisle. Ley lines are likely the secret connection between these ancient sites.
The Pyramids of Giza: Water Erosion, Star Alignments, and Mysterious Properties
The Pyramids of Giza are mind-blowing. Personally, I do not think they were tombs. If you look closely, there is significant water erosion. Archaeologists have dated the water erosion on the pyramids and the Sphinx to about 10,500 BC. What is fascinating is that at 10,500 BC, the chambers inside align specifically with star systems. The internal chambers point precisely to stars in Orion’s Belt. Each of the three pyramids as set on the Giza Plateau lines up exactly with a star in Orion’s Belt. There are two chambers, one on each side, with each pointing to a specific constellation. The layout also corresponds precisely to the constellation Leo. This demonstrates intimate astronomical knowledge.
Some researchers strongly believe these were tuning devices, massive resonating devices. There is evidence they were designed to be flooded with specific amounts of water to bring out a vibrational effect using the natural properties of the pyramid shape. The shape of the Giza pyramids is very special, designed very specifically for a reason. Some researchers believe you only see half of the structure, that those things might actually be diamond-shaped, not just pyramids, with a mirrored structure below.
Inside the pyramids, one would be able to meditate and reach depths of the mind that we just do not really have the understanding to comprehend in this age. Here are some interesting properties researchers have found. The pyramid must be built with the same aspect ratio between periphery and height as the Great Pyramid of Giza. The sides must be placed parallel to geographical north and south. Despite being made of non-conductive material, the pyramid exhibits special properties. Coins and jewels placed inside a pyramid for some time become shining as brand new. Steel razors become sharp again after being placed inside a correctly designed pyramid. Milk will never spoil inside a pyramid but instead separates into layers and eventually becomes yogurt. Eggs will never spoil inside a pyramid but will slowly dry. Flowers last longer and keep the same shape and color when dried.
Plants will grow faster inside the pyramid and will be healthier. Water becomes clearer and purer after being put in the pyramid for days. Tooth pain, migraines, and rheumatic pains can all be relieved after sessions inside the pyramid. Many people build their own pyramid structures and have tried these experiments with remarkable results.
When these pyramids were built around 10,500 BC, the area was not a desert. The water erosion evidence shows it was a large rainforest region. Traditional archaeologists date the pyramids to around 4000 BC when it was a desert, and claim they were built with log rollers, pulleys, and ropes. But if it was a desert at 4000 BC, where did they get the wood? Going back to 10,500 BC, before the significant climate change, it was like a rainforest. Those pyramids were so perfect you could not fit a razor blade between the stones. They were so precisely cut, yet they did not have steel chisels. A copper chisel would just bend against that stone. The mortar they used is still intact today and is stronger than anything we produce now.
Originally the pyramids were covered in white marble, so beautiful that from a distance they could be seen for miles and miles because they reflected sunlight with that shining bright white marble. On the very top were gold or golden capstones. All of this has been looted over the obvious centuries.
Machu Picchu, Easter Island, and the Stones of Baalbek
Machu Picchu is located in the Cusco region of Peru, situated on a mountain ridge above the Urubamba Valley through which the Urubamba River flows. The beliefs around how they moved those stones are fascinating. The quarry the stones were cut from is really far away, and how they were made and transported is beyond explanation.
Researchers studying Machu Picchu and similar structures in the Andes that are very similar to each other have found something remarkable about the walls. They used a technique where the stones fit together like jigsaw pieces, so tight and so precise that no mortar was needed whatsoever. These stones are so perfectly interlocked that the structures are impervious to earthquakes, hurricanes, and geological upheaval. That is why they are still here. That is what makes some of these structures so amazing: regardless of what mother nature or the earth can throw at them, they are still standing.
Easter Island is another fascinating one. The indigenous people of Easter Island apparently made the Moai statues to worship their gods. The statues have a quite unique and very recognizable face shape. Just recently, a team of researchers found out by digging very carefully around the statues that they are twice as big as we thought. They are absolutely huge, probably weighing two hundred to five hundred tons. How they moved them, never mind how they carved them, is baffling. The indigenous people of Easter Island have largely faded away and very little is known about them, their culture, what they really built the stones for, or how they got them into place. Some of these are again so precise it is almost like they were laser cut.
Then there is Baalbek, which contains the biggest stone blocks on earth today. It is near the city of Baalbek in Lebanon. In ancient times it was known as Heliopolis, the City of the Sun, on the trade route linking Damascus and Tyre. Roman engineers in the first century raised a massive temple complex dominated by the Temple of Jupiter, which was surrounded by fifty-four columns of immense size. Beneath these temples lies a greater wonder: the foundation and retaining wall contains three of the world’s biggest blocks of cut stone still in operation, each one the size of a five-story building and weighing more than six hundred tons. To set up the equipment to move one of these blocks today would require more than a week of setup time. How did these ancient engineers get these monster slabs transported? The quarry is more than a mile away, and there is an even larger slab that was cut and abandoned in the quarry. It is still there, weighing over a thousand tons and measuring about seventy-two feet long. It is the largest piece of cut stone on the face of the earth.
Ancient Mysteries: Mars Connections, Nazca Lines, and Indigo Children
There are researchers who have dedicated their lives to these ancient mysteries. Andy Thomas is from the United Kingdom. He organizes conferences and events and co-edits Avalon Rising magazine. He is interested in the indigo children phenomenon, the phenomenon of gifted children who are being born more often now, who set themselves apart, are plugged into spirituality from a young age, and have ideas about thinking beyond boundaries and limitations.
Then there is Boriska Kipriyanovich, a Russian child known as the Star Child from Mars. He talks about connections between ancient structures. There are remarkable coincidences with pyramids and a connection to pyramid-like structures that have been found on Mars. Researchers have used software to analyze NASA photos looking for non-natural structures on the Martian surface. When you run the software, there are a few things that pop up as highly irregular and likely to be actual structures. The layout and design of these structures bears a striking similarity to the Giza pyramids.
Erich von Daniken wrote Chariots of the Gods, which was turned into a film. It is mind-blowing when you look at things like the Nazca Lines. The Nazca Lines are these huge, many miles long, lines and shapes carved into the landscape outside of Nazca, Peru, almost like runways, as if some ancient people left markers for their star gods. If that makes sense, then why are we not learning about this history? Graham Hancock is a spiritual archaeologist who is also interesting to look into. And then there are anomalies like a Swiss-style watch found in a tomb that is about two thousand years old.
Live Interview with Pedro Lemon from Occupy News Network at the Embassy
We are fortunate to have Pedro Lemon from the Occupy News Network joining us live right now. He is on site at the Ecuadorean embassy. Pedro, thank you so much for joining us. Tell us what you see right now.
Pedro reported that there is a very strong police presence with about three vans and approximately twenty to thirty people outside, though more are expected as morning comes. A Facebook event has been set up encouraging people to come down. The police are being polite but are keeping people off the streets. Nobody knows definitively whether Assange is actually inside the embassy. The announcement on asylum is expected at one o’clock GMT, which would be seven o’clock AM London time.
As for resources, Pedro said they need sleeping bags, batteries, cellphone chargers, cameras, and food. If you are in the area near the Ecuadorean embassy, those people need support. They are hanging around waiting for the announcement by Rafael Correa on the asylum request from Julian Assange.
Pedro made an important point about the police on the ground. In front of the cameras they behave, but when the cameras are not looking, there is pushing and shoving. He emphasized that these officers are just humans, not special. They are making the suppression possible and should be ashamed of themselves. But it is important that we keep reminding them that they are not any different from us.
Pedro also noted that a BBC reporter was there earlier but other than that, the mainstream media coverage has been virtually nonexistent. The lazy media is not doing their job, so the people themselves have to get up and go out and do what the mainstream news media is not doing. Pedro encouraged everyone to use the technology available. Anyone with a smartphone can be a citizen journalist if they are in the right place at the right time. We have the internet, which for now is still free, and we have to use it wisely.
WikiLeaks, Privacy, and the War on Whistleblowers
This is a violation of the UN Declaration from 1967 that states granting asylum is a peaceful and humanitarian act that cannot be regarded as unfriendly by any other state. So we have to ask ourselves why this is happening and why this is possible. I would say it is made possible by international control groups, call it what you want, the New World Order or whatever. It is the banking and money at the highest levels.
What is interesting about WikiLeaks is that one of the original founders and business partners, John Young, who runs Cryptome.org, bailed out early on because he saw a top-down monopoly forming over the flow of information. He was mistrustful of the founder and some of the people closest to him, with good reason. There were concerns about the way money was being moved around and things were not being completely disclosed about where all the money was going. John Young is also very interested in cryptography, and he connects with people like Jacob Appelbaum, the Tor Project contributor and privacy advocate who is a big supporter of Julian Assange. Appelbaum gets detained and harassed by customs every single time he comes back into the USA. They always take his electronic devices into a back room.
There is a question worth raising about WikiLeaks and the slow trickle of information releases. Why not release more of it more quickly? Why did they shut down the page to accept new submissions? Also interesting is how a lot of the cables and information, like the Collateral Murder video, seem to enable the current agenda of promoting the terrorism threat. The civilian death numbers in the WikiLeaks cables were outrageous, but they are not even close to the real numbers. Since the invasion of Afghanistan and subsequently Iraq, millions of civilians have died, and yet they are only willing to publicly admit maybe around a hundred thousand.
Around the same time WikiLeaks came on the scene, which was almost too perfect, we got the hacking movement and Anonymous, which really enabled the cyber security police state that was ushered in. Then you have figures like Hillary Clinton talking out of one side of her mouth saying people need to be free on the internet, not be repressed, and should be able to protest. You would swear she is talking about the United States, but she is not. She is talking about everywhere but the United States. It is hypocrisy all over the place. Politicians say whatever they have to say to get elected and stay in power, and along with that comes the mainstream media news, a false version of events, half-truths and misdirection all over the place. They do not want you to know what is actually going on, who is pulling the strings, or who is really making the money.
We also just experienced censorship in action. While we were typing a message on Facebook about our interview with Pedro from Occupy News Network, our producer got banned from Facebook for twenty-four hours for posting so-called objectionable content. This is censorship right now in action. We just did a live interview with someone who was on site at the Ecuadorean embassy where it looks like the UK may physically remove Julian Assange from Ecuadorean custody, a violation of international law, a sovereign nation invading the embassy of another sovereign nation. And Facebook is blocking us from sharing that news.
