Show Recap
On the August 26, 2013 edition of Decrypted Matrix Radio, Max delivered a hard-hitting broadcast covering declassified CIA files proving U.S. complicity in chemical weapons attacks, the Syria WMD narrative redux, DARPA brain-recording technology, the Monsanto stock dump, and the explosive theory about a secret meeting that reshaped rap music. This episode connected the military-industrial complex, media manipulation, and consciousness control into a single web.
CIA Files Prove U.S. Helped Saddam Gas Iran — and the Syria WMD Redux
In a bombshell report published on this very date by Foreign Policy, declassified CIA documents proved that the United States had helped Saddam Hussein carry out chemical weapons attacks against Iran during the 1980s Iran-Iraq War. The CIA knew as early as 1983 that Iraq was deploying mustard gas and sarin nerve agent, and U.S. intelligence officials provided satellite imagery and maps that guided Iraqi offensives — fully aware that chemical weapons would be used. The U.S. did nothing to help Iran bring evidence of illegal chemical attacks to the United Nations.
Max drew the critical parallel to the Syria WMD narrative unfolding in August 2013, as the Obama administration was building a case for military intervention in Syria based on allegations of chemical weapons use by the Assad government. The historical precedent of the U.S. enabling chemical attacks when politically convenient — while condemning them when a different regime change agenda was at play — exposed the hypocrisy at the heart of the war machine.
DARPA Brain Recorders, Mark Dice, and the Miley Cyrus Distraction
Max broke down DARPA’s initiative to develop a portable brain-recording device — an EEG headset designed to be placed in every classroom in America. Four small businesses had been granted nearly ,000 each to create devices small enough to fit inside a baseball cap, recording brain wave activity and streaming data to iPads and smartphones. While framed as a way to engage students in neuroscience, Max questioned the implications of normalizing brain monitoring technology from childhood.
The discussion expanded into brain hacking with commentary from researcher Mark Dice, who examined how media, technology, and psychological operations were being used to manipulate public perception and behavior. Max also called out the Miley Cyrus VMA controversy as a deliberate media distraction — manufactured shock designed to dominate news cycles and divert public attention from the Syria war drums and NSA revelations.
Monsanto Stock Dump, the Rap Music Conspiracy, and NSA Decoded
Max reported on insider traders dumping Monsanto stocks, suggesting that Wall Street insiders were aware of the growing reality that GMO products faced an uncertain future as public awareness of genetically modified organisms surged. The smart money was getting out while the public was still being told GMOs were safe.
The show also featured the viral anonymous letter alleging that a secret meeting in the early 1990s had deliberately shifted rap music toward violent and criminal content to fuel the private prison industry. While unverified, the letter sparked widespread discussion about the relationship between the music industry, hip-hop culture, and mass incarceration — and whether commercial rap had been weaponized as a pipeline to prison.
Max also revisited Jeff Rense’s 2002 discussion of Celldar technology — advanced passive radar surveillance that could track people through walls using existing cellphone and broadcast signals — as a reminder that the surveillance capabilities revealed by Snowden had been in development for over a decade. The show closed with a segment decoding the true meanings hidden in NSA terminology and acronyms.
