It’s one of life’s biggest questions: What happens when you die?

An increasing number of near death experiences, or NDEs, are being reported thanks to advances in medical science and increased resuscitations of the dead.

And several survivors have come forward to share their glimpses of what they believe is a realm beyond this life.

Houston therapist Mary Jo Rapini is among the group interviewed for ABC News programme Beyond Belief: Near Death Experiences, which follows several survivors who were clinically pronounced dead or were near dead when their encounters occurred.

Ms Rapini, who says she heard God tell her to go back after she suffered a brain aneurysm in 2003, remembers being engulfed in a pinkish glow, which prompted her to write Is God Pink? Dying to Heal.

‘All of a sudden it just came over me and I was in it. I was in that light, and I came to this beautiful area.

‘It’s not human so it’s difficult to express it humanly but the room was beautiful,’ she said.

Ms Rapini rejects scientific reasoning as an explanation for her NDE.

‘I had such a sense of knowingness there everything made sense… Unlike a dream that was never clear, this was so clear,’ she continued. ‘Scientists who say it’s a dream, or – I beg to differ. It’s not that.’

But her story is not uncommon.

News anchor Bob Woodruff recalls a similar experience that occurred after he was severely injured in Iraq in 2006. After his vehicle hit an improvised explosive device, Mr Woodruff remembers seeing his body floating below and seeing a bright white light during the minute he was unconscious.

Reverend Don Piper, of Pasadena, California, was travelling in a car when it was crushed by an 18-wheeler in a head-on crash in 1989. Paramedics declared him dead.

He was without a pulse, he says, for 90 minutes before he came back to life after a passer-by began to pray and sing hymns over his body.

‘(The) steering wheel impaled me in the chest and then the car’s roof collapsed on my head so there’s just no way you could survive this accident,’ he said.

But the experience he had before rejoining the living he says could not be explained as anything other than life after death.

He says he remembers music that was ‘beyond spectacular’ and aromas he’d never smelled before. His grandfather was there to greet him alongside several others who had died before him.

They all stood in front of a magnificent gate, with lights that were  ‘pulsating with life,’ he said.

Mr Piper, who endured dozens of surgeries to fix his bones, had to learn to walk again. He wrote about the trauma in New York Times best-seller 90 Minutes in Heaven: A True Story of Death and Life.

‘You know, if I was having a dream about it, this wouldn’t be in it,’ he said. ‘Some of these people who met me at the gates, I haven’t thought of in decades.’

WHAT IS A NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCE?

Near death experiences (NDEs) are defined as as feelings that sometimes occur when a person is nearly dead or has been clinically declared dead.

Many survivors report out-of-body experiences, seeing flashes of light, having awareness of being dead and meeting deceased relatives, and describe an overall feeling of calmness and lack of pain.

Scientists offer different theories as to why they occur, the most popular being the ‘dying brain hypothesis’ – the idea that when the brain is under stress, it releases a flood of neuro-chemicals that create flashes of light, peace and calm.

In April 2010, researchers in Slovenia reported cardiac arrest patients who had NDEs also had much higher carbon dioxide levels than those patients who did not.

Another study conducted in 2009 by University of Kentucky researchers credited their occurrence with ‘blurring of sleeping and waking states.’

But often, survivors say their experiences cannot be explained by scientific logic.

He believes he was sent back to spread the message that ‘heaven is a real place’.

That was also the case with twelve-year-old Colton Burpo, the Nebraska boy whose near-death experience at age four is recounted in the current best-seller Heaven Is for Real; gunshot victim Erin Smith of Montgomery also talks about her experience at age 17.

Jane Seymour famously described her near-death experience during an interview with Larry King in 2005.

An allergic reaction caused Seymour to go into anaphylactic shock. Ms Seymour said she saw light and believes ‘there is some spiritual entity that’s greater than us,’ although she said she does not follow a specific religion.

Perhaps surprisingly, NDEs have a relatively frequent rate of occurrence – in one study reported by the Huffington Post, one in ten cardiac arrest survivors reported having them. Medical advances have led to an increased number of resuscitations, scientists say, contributing to a rise over recent years.

But debate continues over whether NDEs are spiritual or scientific in nature.

While many say their journeys through dark tunnels, flashes of light, awareness of being dead and meetings with deceased relatives cannot be explained by science, many researchers credit simple biological responses for the bizarre experiences.

The most common explanation is the ‘dying brain hypothesis,’ the idea that when the brain is under stress, it releases a flood of neuro-chemicals that create flashes of light, peace and calm.

Dr Sam Parnia, an expert on consciousness and death, launched the world’s largest study on near death experiences in 2008 by deciding to interview nearly 1,000 survivors of cardiac arrest.

There is a connection between NDEs, quantum physics, and the holographic universe theory that is not easily explained away. Near death experiencers routinely describe their experiences in terms that can only be called “holographic” saying things like ” I literally felt like I was everywhere at the same time”, or “I felt an overwhelming feeling of oneness and connectedness,”, or “time and space didn’t seem to exist”, or “I could see 360 degrees around me at the same time”, or “I had to simply think of a time or place and I was there experiencing it.” The Life Review is a holographic experience par excellence. During the review people see their whole lives flash before their eyes in 3-D, feeling the emotions and hearing the thoughts of the people they were interacting with – so much so that they felt like they were the other person. Other interesting statements are things like “the building itself seemed to be made out of knowledge” and “there were more colors than normal.

Tracking photons through the classic double-slit experiment

This week, an exciting new experiment has been published in Science. Funnily enough, it repeats an experiment that is over 200 years old, and I am not certain that it teaches us anything new about the world. But it puts the weirdness of quantum mechanics on display for all to see. And it allows me to get sidetracked by history and generally ignore the work in question except in passing.

A bit of history
In 1803, Thomas Young published a paper on an experiment that has not just become famous, but is, in fact, the workhorse paper of quantum mechanics. In his experiment, light was passed through two closely spaced and narrow slits. Some distance after the slits, the light hit a screen so that the resulting intensity pattern could be observed.

Instead of two fuzzy stripes, a banded pattern was observed, one that could only be explained by assuming that light had a wave nature. With light assumed to be a wave, the waves’ amplitudes could sum to provide dark bands and light bands. This publication was the final salvo in the battle between physicists who believed that light was a particle and physicists who believed that light was a wave. Shortly after the publication of Young’s paper, the “wave physicists” accepted the surrender of the “particle physicists” at a secret ceremony at Cambridge, where the losing side handed over their tables of integrals and agreed never to use calculus again.

And there the story might have ended. In fact, for many such stories in physics, it does end there. But in 1924, a young physicist called de Broglie published the results of his work on the emerging theory of quantum mechanics. In his work, he posited that all particles had a wave-like nature—and, conversely, every wave has some particle-like properties. This was a revelation, and what better way to test it than with versions of Young’s double slit experiment?

Since then, physicists have used double-slit-style experiments to observe the wave-like properties of electrons, neutrons, whole atoms, and entire conglomerates of atoms in the form of Bose Einstein condensates. Clearly, matter has both particle-like and wave-like properties. De Broglie did not celebrate—instead he gave up on quantum mechanics as we know it today in disgust. Why?

The main reason boils down to this: the interference pattern can be built up from photons that are sent through the slits one at a time. They have no chance of interfering with each other, so the only way for the pattern to build up is for each photon to interfere with itself. And the only way for that to occur is if the photon somehow passes through both slits at the same time.

Once you add in a few other considerations, like when and how an experimenter chooses to make a measurement, you are left with an unsettling degree of non-locality and a sort of spooky instantaneous propagation of the wavefunction. It was enough to make a small group of physicists turn in their slide-rules and resign themselves to watching from the sidelines.

Back to the present experiment
The current experiment can be described as a physicist hearing that the photon went through both slits, agreeing, but then saying, “No, seriously, which slit did the photon go through?” Yes, there remains a visceral and fundamental discomfort with the realities of quantum mechanics. Nevertheless, this discomfort has led to a very clever experiment that comes as close as is possible to answering this question.

Any experiment that tells you with certainty which slit the photon passed through will not allow an interference pattern to build up. Even if the experiment doesn’t absorb the photon, it modifies its properties enough that it cannot interfere with itself; because we know that it went through just one of the slits, it shouldn’t interfere with itself. But what if we made a probabilistic measurement? One that just said something along the lines of “this photon went through the left slit with 75 percent probability.”

To do this, the researchers constructed a double slit experiment, but instead of placing a screen after it, they placed a crystal that has a different refractive index depending on how the light is polarized. Depending on the angle with which the photon passes through the crystal, its polarization gets a small rotation. After that, an optical element tries to set the polarization to a particular state, and, depending on where the photon originated from, will fail to a greater or lesser extent. Following that, the photon is deflected at some angle that depends on its polarization, allowing a simultaneous measurement of part of the photon’s momentum and where it hits on a screen (which is governed by the interference pattern).

Because all of these measurements are probabilistic, you never know which photon came from where, but over time you can build statistics that tell you where photons are most likely to be found. If you do this repeatedly, with the second half of the detection apparatus moved closer to and further away from the slits, you can build up photon trajectories.

It’s important to realize that these are not the trajectories of individual photons—instead they are more like probability clouds that tell you where photons are most likely to be found. And what do you know? Half the photons appear to have gone through one slit and half go through the other.

But, in fact, this is a lie. That photon still has to have gone through both slits. It is important to realize that a measurement has to produce a result. It is always going to find that the photon is somewhere, and that tells us very little about where it came from or where it is going to.

With that knowledge, it is hard to say what this experiment tells us that we didn’t know before. The only difference is that now we have both data and theory saying the same thing, which is important. But, there was so much data from so many different experiments that would have had to have been wrong for this experiment to turn up any other result that it is hard to be surprised.

That said, this demonstrates another aspect of control. These weak measurements only give partial information and are limited to statistical inferences. But they also result in measurements that cannot otherwise be made, making them an important new tool in the development of quantum apparatus.

One of Jung’s greatest discoveries is what he called “the reality of the
psyche,” by which he means that the psyche exists in its own right, in its
own open-ended sphere of seemingly unlimited influence.

To quote Jung, “The psychic is a phenomenal world in itself, which can be
reduced neither to the brain nor to metaphysics” (Note: “psychic” is
used throughout this article as the adjective form of “psyche” and not
with any parapsychological connotation).

Jung is using the word “psyche” in an all-inclusive sense, as he means the
totality of all psychic processes, both conscious and unconscious. Jung
says, “[i]For me, the psyche is an almost infinite phenomenon. I absolutely
don’t know what it is in itself and know only very vaguely what it is
not.”[ii]

The psyche is not an epiphenomenon of biochemical processes in the
brain, however, as it cannot be reduced to physical matter, or anything
other than itself for that matter. Instead of the matter of the brain being
the source of the psyche, to quote Jung, “We might well say, on the
contrary, that physical existence is a mere inference, since we know of
matter only in so far as we perceive psychic images.”[iii]

The psyche can’t be factored out of our experience of either matter, or
metaphysics, as it is inseparable from and connects both the seemingly
opposite physical and metaphysical realms. Any physical or metaphysical
experiences are mediated by the psyche by virtue of both of them
essentially arising out of and being experiences within the psyche.

Jung states, “Metaphysical assertions, however, are statements of the
psyche…It is the psyche which, by the divine creative power inherent in it,
makes the metaphysical assertion; it posits the distinctions between
metaphysical entities.

Not only is it the condition of all metaphysical reality, it is that reality.”[iv]…..

Tunnel-Realities and Imprints

Let’s try Dr. Leary‘s perspective on these mysteries.

To understand neurological space, Dr. Leary assumes that the nervous system consists of eight potential circuits, or “gears,” or mini-brains. Four of these brains are in the usually active left lobe and are concerned with our terrestrial survival; four are extraterrestrial, reside in the “silent” or inactive right lobe, and are for use in our future evolution. This explains why the right lobe is usually inactive at this stage of our development, and why it becomes active when the person ingests psychedelics.

We will explain each of the eight “brains” briefly.

 

I. THE BIO-SURVIVAL CIRCUIT

This invertebrate brain was the first to evolve (2 to 3 billion years ago) and is the first activated when a human infant is born. It programs perception onto an either-or grid divided into nurturing-helpful Things (which it approaches) and noxious-dangerous Things (which it flees, or attacks). The imprinting of this circuit sets up the basic attitude of trust or suspicion which will ever after trigger approach or avoidance.

 

II. THE EMOTIONAL CIRCUIT

This second, more advanced bio-computer formed when vertebrates appeared and began to compete for territory (perhaps 500,000,000 B.C.). In the individual, this bigger tunnel-reality is activated when the DNA master-tape triggers the metamorphosis from crawling to walking. As every parent knows, the toddler is no longer a passive (bio-survival) infant but a mammalian politician, full of physical (and psychic) territorial demands, quick to meddle in family business and decision-making. Again the first imprint on this circuit remains constant for life (unless brainwashed) and identifies the stimuli which will automatically trigger dominant, aggressive behavior or submissive, cooperative behavior. When we say that a person is behaving emotionally, egotistically or ‘like a two-year-old,’ we mean that s/he is blindly following one of the tunnel-realities imprinted on this circuit.

 

III. THE DEXTERITY-SYMBOLISM CIRCUIT

This third brain was formed when hominid types began to differentiate from other primate stock (circa 4-5 million B.C.) and is activated for the linear left-lobe functions of the brain, determines our normal modes of artifact-manufacture and conceptual thought, i.e., third circuit ‘mind.’

It is no accident, then, that our logic (and our computer-design) follows either-or, binary structure of these circuits. Nor is it an accident that our geometry, until the last century, has been Euclidean. Euclid’s geometry, Aristotle’s logic and Newton’s physics are meta-programs synthesizing and generalizing first brain forward-back, second brain up-down and third brain right-left programs.

IV. THE SOCIAL-SEXUAL CIRCUIT

The fourth brain, dealing with the transmission of tribal or ethnic culture across generations, introduces the fourth dimension, time.

Since each of these tunnel-realities consists of biochemical imprints or matrices in the nervous system, each of them is specifically triggered by neuro-transmitters and other drugs.

 

NOTICE how drugs that stimulate the first four circuits, which are already activated, tend to be dangerously addictive, roughly ordered ascending from the first circuit. -deoxy

To activate the first braintake an opiate. Mother Opium and Sister Morphine bring you down to cellular intelligence, bio-survival passivity, the floating consciousness of the newborn. (This is why Freudians identify opiate addiction with the desire to return to infancy.)To activate the second tunnel-reality, take an abundant quantity of alcohol. Vertebrate territorial patterns and mammalian emotional politics immediately appear when the booze flows, as Thomas Nashe intuitively realized when he characterized the various alcohol states by animal labels: “ass drunk,” “goat drunk,” “swine drunk,” “bear drunk,” etc.

To activate the third circuit, try coffee or tea, a high-protein diet, speed or cocaine.

The specific neurotransmitter for circuit four has not been synthesized yet, but it is generated by the glands after pubescence and flows volcanically through the bloodstreams of adolescents.

NONE OF THESE TERRESTRIAL DRUGS CHANGE BASIC BIOCHEMICAL IMPRINTS. The behaviors which they trigger are those which were wired into the nervous system during the first stages of imprint vulnerability. The circuit II drunk exhibits the emotional games or cons learned from parents in infancy. The circuit III “mind” never gets beyond the permutations and combinations of those tunnel-realities originally imprinted, or abstractions associated with the imprints through later conditioning. And so forth.

But all this Pavlovian-Skinnerian robotism changes drastically and dramatically when we turn to the right lobe, the future circuits and extraterrestrial chemicals.

The four evolving future ‘brains’ are:

 

V. THE NEUROSOMATIC CIRCUIT

When this fifth “body-brain” is activated, flat Euclidean figure-ground configurations explode multi-dimensionally. Gestalts shift, in McLuhan‘s terms, from linear VISUAL SPACE to all-encompassing SENSORY SPACE.A hedonic turn-on occurs, a rapturous amusement, a detachment from the previously compulsive mechanism of the first four circuits. I turned this circuit on with pot and Tantra.

This fifth brain began to appear about 4,000 years ago in the first leisure-class civilizations and has been increasing statistically in recent centuries (even before the Drug Revolution), a fact demonstrated by the hedonic art of India, China, Rome and other affluent societies. More recently, Ornstein and his school have demonstrated with electroencephalograms that this circuit represents the first jump from the linear left lobe of the brain to the analogical right lobe.

The opening and imprinting of this circuit has been the preoccupation of “technicians of the occult”—Tantric shamans and hatha yogis. While the fifth tunnel-reality can be achieved by sensory deprivation, social isolation, physiological stress or severe shock (ceremonial terror tactics, as practiced by such rascal-gurus as Don Juan Matus or Aleister Crowley), it has traditionally been reserved to the educated aristocracy of leisure societies who have solved the four terrestrial survival problems.

About 20,000 years ago, the specific fifth brain neurotransmitter was discovered by shamans in the Caspian Sea area of Asia and quickly spread to other wizards throughout Eurasia and Africa. It is, of course, cannabis. Weed. Mother Mary Jane.

It is no accident that the pot-head generally refers to his neural state as “high” or “spaced-out.” The transcendence of gravitational, digital, linear, either-or, Aristotelian, Newtonian, Euclidean, planetary orientations (circuits I-IV) is, in evolutionary perspective, part of our neurological preparation for the inevitable migration off our home planet, now beginning. This is why so many pot-heads are STAR TREK freaks and science fiction adepts. (Berkeley, California, certainly the Cannabis Capital of the U.S., has a Federation Trading Post on Telegraph Avenue, where the well-heeled can easily spend $500 or more in a single day, buying STAR TREK novels, magazines, newsletters, bumper stickers, photographs, posters, tapes, etc., including even complete blueprints for the starship ENTERPRISE.)

The extraterrestrial meaning of being “high” is confirmed by astronauts themselves; 85% of those who have entered the free-fall zero gravity describe “mystic experiences” or rapture states typical of the neurosomatic circuit. “No photo can show how beautiful Earth looked,” raves Captain Ed Mitchell, describing his Illumination in free-fall. He sounds like any successful yogi or pot-head. No camera can show this experience because it is inside the nervous system.

FREE-FALL, AT THE PROPER EVOLUTIONARY TIME, TRIGGERS THE NEUROSOMATIC MUTATION, Leary believes. Previously this mutation has been achieved “artificially” by yogic or shamanic training or by the fifth circuit stimulant, cannabis. Surfing, skiing, skin-diving and the new sexual culture (sensuous massage, vibrators, imported Tantric arts, etc.) have evolved at the same time as part of the hedonic conquest of gravity. The Turn-On state is always described as “floating,” or, in the Zen metaphor, “one foot above the ground.”

 

VI. THE NEUROELECTRIC CIRCUIT

The sixth brain consists of the nervous system becoming aware of itself apart from imprinted gravitational reality-maps (circuits I-IV) and even apart from body-rapture (circuit V). Count Korzybski, the semanticist, called this state “consciousness of abstracting.” Dr. John Lilly calls it “metaprogramming,” i.e., awareness of programming one’s programming. This Einsteinian, relativistic contelligence (consciousness-intelligence) recognizes, for instance, that the Euclidean, Newtonian and Aristotelian reality-maps are just three among billions of possible programs or models for experience. I turned this circuit on with Peyote, LSD and Crowley’s “magick” metaprograms.

This level of brain-functioning seems to have been reported first around 500 B.C. among various “occult” groups connected by the Silk Route (Rome-North India). It is so far beyond the terrestrial tunnel-realities that those who have achieved it can barely communicate about it to ordinary humanity (circuits I-IV) and can hardly be understood even by fifth circuit Rapture Engineers.

The characteristics of the neuroelectric circuit are high velocity, multiple choice, relativity, and the fission-fusion of all perceptions into parallel science-fiction universes of alternate possibilities.

The mammalian politics which monitor power struggles among terrestrial humanity are here transcended, i.e., seen as static, artificial, an elaborate charade. One is neither coercively manipulated into another’s territorial reality nor forced to struggle against it with reciprocal emotional game-playing (the usual soap-opera dramatics). One simply elects, consciously, whether or not to share the other’s reality-model.

Tactics for opening and imprinting the sixth circuit are described and rarely experienced in advanced rajah yoga, and in the hermetic (coded) manuals of the medieval-Renaissance alchemists and Illuminati.

No specific sixth circuit chemical is yet available, but strong psychedelics like mescaline (from my 1962-63 “sacred cactus,” peyotl) and psilocybin (from the Mexican “magic mushroom,” teonactl) open the nervous system to a mixed-media series of circuit V and circuit VI channels. This is appropriately called “tripping,” as distinguished from straight-forward fifth circuit “turning on” or “getting high.”

The suppression of scientific research in this area has had the unfortunate result of turning the outlaw drug culture back toward fifth circuit hedonics and pre-scientific tunnel-realities (the occult revival, solipsism, Pop Orientalism). Without scientific discipline and methodology, few can successfully decode the often-frightening (but philosophically crucial) sixth circuit metaprogramming signals. Such scientists as do continue to study this subject dare not publish their results (which are illegal) and record ever-wider tunnel-realities only in private conversations—like the scholars of the Inquisitorial era. (Voltaire announced the Age of Reason two centuries too soon. We are still in the Dark Ages.) Most underground alchemists have given up on such challenging and risky self-work and restrict their trips to fifth circuit erotic tunnels.

The evolutionary function of the sixth circuit is to enable us to communicate at Einsteinian relativities and neuro-electric accelerations, not using third circuit laryngeal-manual symbols but directly via feedback, telepathy and computer link-up. Neuro-electric signals will increasingly replace “speech” (hominid grunts) after space migration.

When humans have climbed out of the atmosphere-gravity well of planetary life, accelerated sixth circuit contelligence will make possible high-energy communication with “Higher Intelligences,” i.e., ourselves-in-the-future and other post-terrestrial races.

It is charmingly simple and obvious, once we realize that the spaced-out neural experiences really are extraterrestrial, that getting high and spacing out are accurate metaphors. Circuit V neurosomatic rapture is preparation for the next step in our evolution, migration off the planet. Circuit VI is preparation for the step after that, interspecies communication with advanced entities possessing electronic (post-verbal) tunnel-realities.

Circuit VI is the “universal translator” often imagined by science-fiction writers, already built into our brains by the DNA tape. Just as the circuits of the future butterfly are already built into the caterpillar.

 

VII. THE NEUROGENETIC CIRCUIT

The seventh brain kicks into action when the nervous system begins to receive signals from WITHIN THE INDIVIDUAL NEURON, from the DNA-RNA dialogue. The first to achieve this mutation spoke of “memories of past lives,” “reincarnation,” “immortality,” etc. That these adepts were recording something real is indicated by the fact that many of them (especially Hindu and Sufis) gave marvelously accurately poetic vistas of evolution 1,000 or 2,000 years before Darwin, and foresaw Superhumanity before Nietzsche.

The “akashic records” of Theosophy, the “collective unconscious” of Jung, the “phylogenetic unconscious” of Grof and Ring, are three modern metaphors for this circuit. The visions of past and future evolution described by those who have had “out-of-body” experiences during close-to-death episodes also describes the trans-time circuit VII tunnel-reality.

Specific exercises to trigger circuit VII are not to be found in yogic teaching; it usually happens, if at all, after several years of the kind of advanced rajah yoga that develops circuit VI facility.

The specific circuit VII neurotransmitter is, of course LSD. (Peyote and psilocybin produce some circuit VII experiences also.)

Circuit VII is best considered, in terms of 1977 science, as the genetic archives, activated by anti-histone proteins. The DNA memory coiling back to the dawn of life. A sense of the inevitability of immortality and interspecies symbiosis comes to all circuit VII mutants; we now see that this, also, is an evolutionary forecast, since WE STAND RIGHT NOW ON THE DOOR-STEP OF EXTENDED LONGEVITY LEADING TO IMMORTALITY.

The exact role of the right-lobe circuits and the reason for their activation in the 1960s cultural revolution now becomes clear. As sociologist F.M. Esfandiary writes in UPWINGERS, “Today when we speak of immortality and of going to another world we no longer mean these in a theological or metaphysical sense. People are now traveling to other worlds. People are now striving for immortality. Transcendence is no longer a metaphysical concept. It has become reality.”

The evolutionary function of the seventh circuit and its evolutionary, aeon-spanning tunnel-reality is to prepare us for conscious immortality and interspecies symbiosis.

 

VIII. THE NEURO-ATOMIC CIRCUIT

Hold on to your hats and breathe deeply—this is the farthest-out that human intelligence has yet ventured.

Consciousness probably precedes the biological unit or DNA tape-loop. “Out-of-body experiences,” “astral projection,” contact with alien (extraterrestrial?) “entities” or with a galactic Overmind, etc., such as I’ve experienced, have all been reported for thousands of years, not merely by the ignorant, the superstitious, the gullible, but often by the finest minds among us (Socrates, Giordano Bruno, Edison, Buckminster Fuller, etc.). Such experiences are reported daily to parapsychologists and have been experienced by such scientists as Dr. John Lilly and Carlos Castaneda. Dr. Kenneth Ring has attributed these phenomena to what he calls, very appropriately, “the extraterrestrial unconscious.”

Dr. Leary suggests that circuit VIII is literally neuro-atomic—infra, supra and meta-physiological—a quantum model of consciousness and/or a conscious model of quantum mechanics by the turned-on physicists discussed previously (Prof. John Archibald Wheeler, Saul-Paul Sirag, Dr. Fritjof Capra, Dr. Jack Sarfatti, etc.) indicates strongly that the “atomic consciousness” first suggested by Leary in “The Seven Tongues of God” (1962) is the explanatory link which will unite parapsychology and paraphysics into the first scientific empirical experimental theology in history.

When the nervous system is turned on to this quantum-level circuit, space-time is obliterated. Einstein’s speed-of-light barrier is transcended; in Dr. Sarfatti’s metaphor, we escape “electromagnetic chauvinism.” The contelligence within the quantum projection booth IS the entire cosmic “brain,” just as the micro-miniaturized DNA helix IS the local brain guiding planetary evolution. As Lao-tse said from his own Circuit VIII perspective, “The greatest is within the smallest.”

Circuit VIII is triggered by Ketamine, a neuro-chemical researched by Dr. John Lilly, which is also (according to a wide-spread but unconfirmed rumor) given to astronauts to prepare them for space. High doses of LSD also produce some circuit VIII quantum awareness.

This neuro-atomic contelligence is four mutations beyond terrestrial domesticity. (The current ideological struggle is between circuit IV tribal moralists-or-collectivists and circuit V hedonic individualists.) When our need for higher intelligence, richer involvement in the cosmic script, further transcendence, will no longer be satisfied by physical bodies, not even by immortal bodies hopping across space-time at Warp 9, circuit VIII will open a further frontier. New universes and realities. “Beyond theology: the science and art of Godmanship,” as Alan Watts once wrote.

It is therefore possible that the mysterious “entities” (angels and extraterrestrials) monotonously reported by circuit VIII visionaries are members or races already evolved to this level. But it is also possible, as Leary and Sarfatti more recently suggest, that They are ourselves-in-the-future.

The left-lobe terrestrial circuits contain the learned lessons of our evolutionary past (and present). The right-lobe extraterrestrial circuits are the evolutionary script for out future.

Thus far, there have been two alternative explanations of why the Drug Revolution happened. The first is presented in a sophisticated way by anthropologist Weston LaBarre, and in an ignorant, moralistic way by most anti-drug propaganda in the schools and mass media. This explanation says, in essence, that millions have turned away from the legal DOWN drugs to illegal HIGH drugs because we are living in troubled times and many are seeking escape into fantasy.

This theory, at its best, only partially explains the ugliest and most publicized aspect of the revolution—the reckless drug abuse characteristic of the immature. It says nothing about the millions of respectable doctors, lawyers, engineers, etc., who have turned away from second circuit intoxication with booze to fifth circuit rapture with weed.

Nor does it account at all for the thoughtful, philosophical sixth circuit investigations of persons of high intelligence and deep sensibility, such as Aldous Huxley, Dr. Stanley Grof, Masters-Houston, Alan W. Watts, Carlos Castaneda, Dr. John Lilly and thousands of scientific and lay researchers on consciousness.

A more plausible theory, devised by psychiatrist Norman Zinberg out of the work of Marshall McLuhan, holds that modern electronic media have so shifted the nervous system’s parameters that young people no longer enjoy “linear” drugs like alcohol and find meaning only in “non-linear” weed and psychedelics.

This is certainly part of the truth, but it is too narrow and overstresses TV and computers without sufficiently stressing the general technological picture—the ongoing Science-Fiction Revolution of which the most significant aspects are Space Migration, Increased Intelligence and Life Extension, which Leary has condensed into his SMI²LE formula.

Space Migration plus Increased Intelligence plus Life Extension means expansion of humanity into all space-time. SM + I² + LE = infinity.

Without totally endorsing Charles Fort’s technological mysticism (“It steam-engines when it comes steam-engine time”), it is obvious that the DNA metaprogram for planetary evolution is far wiser than any of our individual nervous systems—which are, in a sense, giant robots or sensors for DNA. Early science-fiction of brilliant writers like Stapledon, Clarke, Heinlein; Kubrick’s 2001—all were increasingly clear DNA signals transmitted through the intuitive right lobe of sensitive artists, preparing us for the extraterrestrial mutation.

It is scarcely coincidental that mainstream “literary” intellectuals—the heir of the Platonic-aristocratic tradition that a gentleman never uses his hands, monkeys with tools or learns a manual craft—despise both science-fiction and the dope culture. Nor is it coincidental that the WHOLE EARTH CATALOGS – created by Stewart Brand, a graduate of Ken Kesey’s Merry Pranksters—are the New Testament of the rural drop-out culture, each issue bulging with tons of eco-technological information about all the manual, dextrous, gadgety know-how that Plato and his heirs consider fit only for slaves. Not surprisingly, Brand’s latest publication, CO-EVOLUTION QUATERLY, has been devoted to publicizing Prof. Gerard O’Neill’s space-habitat, L5.

Nor is it an accident that dopers seem to prefer science-fiction to any other reading, even including the extraterrestrial-flavored Hindu scriptures and occult-shamanic circuit VI-VIII trip-poets like Crowley and Hesse.

The circuit VI drugs may have contributed much to the metaprogramming consciousness that has led to sudden awareness of “male chauvinism” (women’s liberationists), “species chauvinism” (ecology, Lilly’s dolphin studies), “type-G star chauvinism” (Carl Sagan), even “oxygen chauvinism” (the CETI conference), etc. The imprinted tunnel-realities which identify one as “white-male-American-earthian” etc. or “black-female-Cuban” etc. are no longer big enough to enclose our exploding contelligence.

As TIME magazine said on November 26, 1973, “Within ten years, according to pharmacologists, they will have perfected pills and cranial electrodes of providing life-long bliss for everyone on Earth.” The 1960s hysteria about weed and acid was just the overture to this fifth circuit break-through. Nathan S. Kline, M.D., predicts real aphrodisiacs, drugs to speed up learning, drugs to foster or terminate any behavior. … Those who were jailed or beaten by cops in the 1960s were forerunners of the Revolution of Inner Technology.

STAR TREK is a better guide to the emerging reality than anything in the NEW YORK REVIEW OF BOOKS. The life-support and defense-system engineer, Scotty (circuit I), the emotional-sentimental Dr. McCoy (circuit II), the logical science officer Mr. Spock (circuit III) and the alternately paternalistic and romantic Captain Kirk (circuit IV) are perpetually voyaging through our future neurological history and encountering circuit V, VI, VII, and VIII intelligences, however crudely presented.

In short, the various levels of consciousness and circuits we have been discussing, and illustrating, are all biochemical imprints in the evolution of the nervous system. Each imprint creates a bigger tunnel-reality. In the Sufi metaphor, the donkey on the which we ride becomes a different donkey after each imprint. The metaprogrammer continually learns more and is increasingly able to be aware of itself operating. We are thus evolving to intelligence-studying-intelligence (the nervous system studying the nervous system) and are more and more capable of accelerating our own evolution.

Leary now symbolizes intelligence-studying-intelligence by the mark, I². On the lower levels, you see with one “I”, so to speak. On the higher levels, you see with many “I”s, and space-time shifts from three Euclidean dimensions to non-Euclidean multi-dimensionality.

Torsion, the Aura and Long Range Healing

ABSTRACT

Descriptions of the human aura go back thousands of years in Chinese medicine and Hindu yoga. Its existence and general properties are universally acknowledged by energy healers, who say that assessing and manipulating the components of the aura are an integral part of many healing practices. As evidence has mounted in recent years that energy healing works, and is even effective over thousands of miles, yet questions remain: What is the nature of the aura? What is it made of? What role does it play in long range healing?

Dr. Swanson has recently completed a comprehensive study of subtle energy and the role it plays in energy medicine. This is summarized in his new book, Life Force, The Scientific Basis, a comprehensive study of subtle energy. In it, he develops a model based on physics which explains the nature of the aura. It is based on a form of energy called “torsion,” which interacts with particle spins, and was discovered in Russia in the 1950’s. Torsion has undergone extensive verification and is believed by Russian scientists to be the same thing as subtle energy.

Torsion is produced whenever a particle undergoes a spin flip. When absorbed it causes a spin change in the absorbing particle. As a result, it is produced whenever electromagnetic energy is produced. Consequently, the biophoton field inside the body is accompanied by a torsion field which has similar frequency and structure. One difference is that the biophoton field is kept primarily inside the body, while the torsion field extends beyond the body. F.-A. Popp has shown that the biophoton field has phase coherence and other properties needed to create a hologram inside the body. It serves as a template to guide growth and repair processes within the body. Outside the body the torsion field has a similar holographic structure, which creates the layers and chakras described by healers.

According to Russian research, the torsion field has components which travel faster than light as well as a component which travels backwards in time. This has been verified experimentally in astronomical measurements using torsion detectors. These factors, together with its coupling to the biophoton field, make torsion the ideal candidate as the carrier of long distance healing and consciousness information. It explains how healers are able to affect their clients over thousands of miles, as well as how QiGong masters are able to affect physical phenomena at long range. It may also be the underlying “force” which mediates other psychic phenomena, such as ESP, PK and remote viewing.

A method of focusing called “four dimensional holography” is proposed to explain how consciousness phenomena operate over great distances without weakening, and how the effects can be received either earlier or later than the transmission. It explains how QiGong healers can project their influence with pinpoint accuracy and how this force can affect a wide variety of physical phenomena. This model also has application to other effects related to non-local consciousness.

Dr. Swanson was educated as a physicist at MIT (’69) and received his Ph.D. in physics from Princeton University (1976). He has worked as a consultant in applied physics for more than two decades, as well as pursuing research into the physics of anomalous phenomena. He has written a book, “The Synchronized Universe-New Science of the Paranormal,” summarizing some of his findings.

ABSTRACT

The nonlinear effect of observation methodology is one of the most perplexing aspects to modeling non stationary processes. The outcome of an observation depends on the perspective with which the observation is made; in other words, the observed statistical moments depend on the time, location, interval, orientation, sampling methodology, etc…

The lack of well-developed techniques for modeling changing statistical moments in our observations has stymied the application of stochastic process theory for many scientific and engineering applications. These limitations were encountered when modeling temporal effects of calibration frequency on the performance of a radiometer with non stationary receiver fluctuations. In radiometer systems, frequent calibration using noise references is used for reducing the effect of fluctuations in the instrument. Calibration, as it turns out, is key to studying and characterizing non stationary processes. The development of a generalized approach for comparative analysis to modeling radiometer calibration system architectures has led to Ensemble Detection and Analysis (EDA) as a new method for studying and characterizing non stationary processes. Ensemble samples of a process are collected by mixing a signal with calibrated noise.

In stochastic process theory, the ensemble expectation operator is evaluated from an ensemble set of series existing over an interval. Alternatively, a process is treated as a single series of events with each event modeled as a random variable with a conditional probability density function; the process is then described by a Probability State Function (PSF). The mathematical symmetry between the PSF and EDA permits comparison of uncertainty of model and data. Unprecedented agreement is achieved between measurements and model calculations. The mathematical framework gives structure to an Observation Theory that links our expectations to observed outcome. This presentation will describe and explore the applications and implications of the theory.

It took eight years and nine experiments with more 1,000 participants, but the results offer evidence that humans have some ability to anticipate the future.

“Of the various forms of ESP or psi, as we call it, precognition has always most intrigued me because it’s the most magical,” said Daryl Bem, professor of psychology emeritus, whose study will be published in the American Psychological Association’s Journal of Personality and Social Psychology sometime next year.

“It most violates our notion of how the physical world works. The phenomena of modern quantum physics are just as mind-boggling, but they are so technical that most non-physicists don’t know about them,” said Bem, who studied physics before becoming a psychologist.

Publishing on this topic has gladdened the hearts of psi researchers but stumped doubting social psychologists, who cannot fault Bem’s mainstream and widely accepted methodology. Bem became interested in the scientific study of psi (unexplained processes of information or energy transfer) when he was asked to find methodological flaws in one psi researcher’s successful extrasensory perception studies — and couldn’t.

“The research and this article are specifically targeted to my fellow social psychologists,” Bem said. “I designed the experiments to be persuasive, simple and transparent enough to encourage them to try replicating these experiments for themselves.” Bem’s innovation in the experiments reported in the article was to “take well-known phenomena in psychology and reverse their time course.”

Rather than present a stimulus and measure a subject’s response, Bem measured the subject’s response before the stimulus was presented. In some earlier experiments by other psi researchers, participants were hooked up to physiological measuring equipment similar to a lie detector that measured emotional arousal. They sat before a computer and watched randomly selected images; some were erotic or very negative (“like the bloody photos you see on CSI”) images.

“Your physiology jumps when you see one of those pictures after watching a series of landscapes or neutral pictures,” Bem said. “But the remarkable finding is that your physiology jumps before the provocative picture actually appears on the screen — even before the computer decides which picture to show you. What it shows is that your physiology can anticipate an upcoming event even though your conscious self might not.”

Bem’s nine experiments demonstrated similar unconscious influences from future events. For example, in one experiment, participants saw a list of words and were then given a test in which they tried to retype as many of the words as they could remember. Next, a computer randomly selected some of the words from the list and gave the participants practice exercises on them. When their earlier memory test results were checked, it was found that they had remembered more of the words they were to practice later than words they were not going to practice. In other words, the practice exercises had reached back in time to help them on the earlier test.

All but one of the nine experiments confirmed the hypothesis that psi exists. The odds against the combined results being due to chance or statistical flukes are about 74 billion to 1, according to Bem.

Throughout his career Bem has taken paths less traveled. In 1994 he co-authored a series of experiments on telepathy published in another APA journal, the Psychological Bulletin. “In my work, I have always pursued problems or puzzles that strike me as interesting and have not worried about how it might affect my career. I have a maverick approach to many psychological topics, and I consider myself fortunate that Cornell has always given me the freedom to do that.”

Bem, who came to Cornell in 1978 and retired in 2007, said it is unusual for him to work on one topic for eight years, “but this one was a biggie and seemed like an appropriate thing to end my career with. The journal in which it will appear is the same journal that published my very first article 50 years ago.”

Bem said he conducted the experiments because he believed that existing research strongly implied that precognition is real. “I went in optimistic that I would be able to find it with these experiments,” he said. “After I started getting positive results, my undergraduate research team seemed puzzled by my enthusiasm and said, ‘But didn’t you tell us you thought these would work?’

“I said yes, but when I actually see them work, that’s very different.”

Metamorpheus: Core Believe Systems Explanation

This page details my fundamental beliefs, and functions as the site’s basic reference point. As you scroll down, you may notice that it is a lengthy and complex list. However, only the first point is important, for it is the absolute, objective truth that encompasses all subsequent illusory truths. It underlines the origin of the game; all truths thereafter are simply the game’s metaphysical rules and microcosmic particulars. At its core, absolute truth is elementary and unburdened by intellectualism.

Of course, this list represents a set of personal beliefs that may prove inaccurate in both theory and articulation thereof. No mind on Earth knows the truth, because no Earth mind can comprehend the macrocosm. Third density is the density of polarisation rather than comprehension, but if we can grasp the fundamentals whilst incarnated here, then we will unveil the footpaths towards deeper understanding.

Much of what I write below correlates with the Law of One and other sources of resonance, whereas much else is derived from personal insight and observation. Although I doubt that my belief in the objective truth will change, it is possible that my beliefs in the illusory truths will. This is the problem with publishing your beliefs; if they change over time, then all subsequent publications are viewed as jarring contradictions rather than natural evolutions. It would not surprise me if this understanding forced many credibility-conscious researchers to cling, quite reluctantly, to outgrown conjectures and erstwhile convictions. Personally, I endeavour to remain intellectually honest and to allow this list to evolve as I do. Ultimately, however, I do believe that each point herein is true – they have endured the persistent trials of intuition, and were composed with a warm inner accord.

The Objective Truth

Oneness

We are all a part of one infinite consciousness (the Source) that chose to experience itself subjectively in order to explore itself as a creator, and to discover what it is (unconditional love, creativity, harmony and infinity) by experiencing what it is not (hatred, destruction, chaos and limitation). Thus, it created the ‘game.’

All truths hereafter are simply the rules of an illusory game, mere aberrations of this objective truth. They are only ‘real’ insofar as a computer simulation often seems real when played. All that vibrates is illusory, and all except the Source vibrates.

The Illusory Truths

The Game

1.) Life is an illusory game comprised of densities and dimensions. As infinite spiritual beings, we voluntarily choose to play the game and commonly start from the first density, the world of gross matter. As we gradually ascend the densities (the number of main densities remains debatable; I choose seven because I believe that each density correlates with the seven main chakras), we move closer towards convergence with our true nature, the Source.

2.) There are two basic alignments within the game; the ‘positive’ orientation of Service to Others (STO), and the ‘negative’ orientation of Service to Self (STS). The main purpose behind existence in third density (the density in which we are currently incarnated) is to orientate, then consistently follow our chosen path.

3.) Third density is the first and last density wherein STO and STS forces co-exist simultaneously. Thenceforth, each density until sixth branches into STS and STO equivalents. That is, while there is only third density, there is a fourth density positive, fourth density negative, fifth density positive, and fifth density negative. Third density STO-oriented incarnations ascend the positive equivalents, whereas third density STS-oriented incarnations ascend the negative equivalents. Sometimes the polarised densities superficially interact, but the incarnates (sometimes called personas) of each respective equivalent cannot usually perceive the other.

4.) Although neither orientation is ‘better’ than the other, the STO path is required for higher ascension insofar as the qualities that the path cultivates in ourselves – unconditional love, oneness and altruism – are the qualities of our true nature. For most STS entities, but there will come a time – typically in higher fifth density – when they realise the futility of self-service. It may take trillions of years, but the spiritual equivalent of a self-aware black hole will gradually recognise its increasingly unsustainable existence. Thus, before sixth density entry is permitted, the former STS being must choose to embrace, or re-embrace, the altruistic path.

5.) Our soul’s default ‘home’ within the game is higher fifth density, the density of wisdom that corresponds with the throat chakra. This is the non-physical ‘afterlife’ expounded upon by genuine psychic mediums and those who had near death experiences, and it is where we return inbetween incarnations into lower densities. As with all densities after lower fourth, the fifth density is non-physical and our awareness therein is considerably expanded. We understand, for example, that the game is cyclical in nature. As humans, our current perception is a ‘slide’ on a ‘projector’ that our consciousness currently collapses into awareness. Just because we are currently ‘focused’ on one slide, does not mean that the other slides don’t exist within the present moment. In other words, everything within the game happens simultaneously. The notion of linear time is illusory, for we exist – and always have existed – within the eternal present.

6.) There is a difference between a soul and a Higher Self. The former is our subtle body that partially remains in fifth density during incarnation, and partially incarnates with us (effectively ‘superimposing’ itself over our physical body). The latter is our evolved self from the perceived ‘future’ that guides both our souls in fifth density, and our incarnations (‘conscience’). As we ascend the densities we become closer to our Higher Self, and once we attain sixth density, we merge with it. In this completed, harmonious state we attempt to perfect the art of serving others, often by incarnating into lower densities as STS personas (as with the Family, explained later) or, far more commonly, STO personas that help others to reach a greater self-awareness (for example, Siddhartha Gautama or Jesus). Eventually, we may choose to finally merge with the Source in seventh density and return to our truly infinite nature, thus ‘completing’ the game.

Soul Harvests

1.) All densities operate in cycles, and at the end of each cycle there is a harvest of souls. Despite the seemingly morbid connotations of such, harvests are simply the non-judgemental segregation of souls based upon vibratory attainment. If a soul achieves a predominantly STO orientation, it can graduate to fourth density. If a soul achieves an overwhelmingly STS orientation, it can graduate to fourth density negative (which, despite its seemingly elevated status, is ‘below’ third density). Unharvestable souls (that is, those who have not oriented via consistent work on either themselves or others) will undergo another third density cycle until they polarise.

2.) Third density cycles last tens of thousands of years (some sources claim 75,000 years, however I cannot confirm this estimation). Although there are sometimes smaller harvests during a cycle, the most important harvest for soul development is the great harvest that occurs at a cycle’s culmination.

3.) The next great harvest will occur, according to the Mayan calendar and other accurate sources, in 2012. Rather than being a sudden, physically perceivable event like the ‘rapture’ prophesied by Biblical literature, this date simply marks the beginning of soul segregation after physical death. Those who die prior to this time will not be harvested, those who die during or after it will. If a harvestable (i.e. oriented) soul dies prior to harvest, the soul can reincarnate during the remaining years. No harvestable soul unfairly ‘misses’ a due harvest.

4.) When a harvestable soul dies after the harvest date, it experiences the same ‘tunnel of light’ phenomenon described by those who died prior to harvest time, or who experienced near death experiences. The difference between dying post-harvest is that the soul will be ‘tested’ for vibrational stability; the tunnel’s light will become brighter and more loving until the soul cannot appreciate further vibratory ascension. If the soul accepts, without apparent discomfort, a predominantly positive vibration, it can graduate to fourth density positive wherein the vibrations are of a similar rapidity. The few souls who can graduate to fourth density negative (their post-harvest endurance test is similar to above, but light intensity is replaced with darkness) must have achieved an immensely high STS orientation. You don’t need to be perfectly altruistic to graduate to fourth density positive, but you need to be almost completely self-serving to graduate to fourth density negative. it is unlikely that complex, multi-faceted tyrants like Adolf Hitler or Mao Tsetung, for example, graduated to fourth density negative.

5.) The vast majority of souls, at least on third density Earth, are currently unharvestable insofar as they lack orientation. Most people’s lives are saturated with good deeds and bad deeds equally, and have not yet ‘settled’ on consistent altruism or consistent self-service. Fortunately, our existences are saturated with catalysts that can help us polarise.

The main suppliers of catalysts – intentionally or unintentionally – on Earth at present are the various STS and STO forces detailed below:

i) Organised Negative forces: the Family (sometimes called the Illuminati), whose influence is gradually intensifying as harvest approaches. The New World Order, or implementation of global fascism, is the grossest manifestation of their work, although cosmic laws ensure that their power over humanity is limited. The upper echelons of the Family (i.e. an absolute minority) are conscious that they help third density incarnations to polarise by providing catalysts, and are higher density STO souls incarnating as STS personas. I discuss the Family in greater detail later.

ii) Entropic Negative forces: hyperdimensional entities from fourth and fifth density negative, astral vampires, and third density STS entities. Wishful thinking pervades the dark minds of these beings, and they are unaware that their seemingly self-absorbed actions are forever assisting souls’ development. Unlike the Family, who are ‘organised catalyst-providers,’ these beings truly wish to corrupt or destroy us. Many are psychic vampires who feed upon fear, and use third density Earth as a ‘farming ground’ to generate such. As with the Family, there are cosmic laws limiting their influence upon humanity, and most people are attacked by them because they subconsciously willed or attracted it.

i) Organised Positive forces: spirit guides, souls, higher selves, benevolent extraterrestrials and higher density social memory complexes. Our primitive five senses cannot perceive organised STO forces, and one must sincerely request their assistance before their subtle, but notable, influence upon our lives is affected. They are cautious of violating our free will, and often communicate to us in dreams through indirect and ambiguous symbolism. All entities can enjoy the guidance of these beings, but most people are unaware of their existence.

ii) Entropic Positive forces: wanderers, spiritual teachers, third density STO entities. These are the positive forces who help show undecided entities the STO path in physical life.

Because organised positive forces are omnipresent but unseen, and entropic positive forces are seen but rare, it seems probable that most indifferent souls on Earth will either remain unharvestable, or choose the STS path. Regardless of Earth’s seemingly imbalanced STS-STO ratio, however, both orientations will remain equally available. No soul is deprived of the STO path because the planet in which it incarnates is predominantly STS.

Preincarnative Choices

1.) Before incarnating anew, our souls (guided by our Higher Selves) outline the major events of our upcoming life, such as our birth and death, meeting a soul mate, acquiring a new job, being raped, etc. Inbetween these major life events are ‘gross free will zones,’ wherein the persona can exercise his free will without incessant gravitation towards a predetermined event or circumstance. If a persona fails to reach an intended event (such as meeting an important individual at a party), the universe can introduce the event via another outlet (such as meeting the same individual elsewhere, perhaps in a bar). In fact, we could represent a life as a car journey from Point A (birth) to point Z (death), with a satellite navigation system symbolising our intuition. We follow the routes we ourselves mapped, and if we take an alternative route to the one intended, the navigation system automatically re-routes for us.

2.) Personas are created by thought projection, which the soul then infuses with some of its lifeforce. Because a persona contains only a small percentage of the total lifeforce comprising the soul, it is possible and indeed quite common for one soul to have several incarnations operating simultaneously on the same density, during the same period of ‘time.’ Incidences of identical twins are common examples of such, although it is equally common for two or more personas of corresponding origins to never intercept or interact during their respective lifetimes.

3.) Because the game is ultimately about self-understanding and exploration, we ensure that our lifeplans contain an indefinite number of what we consider ‘unpleasant’ experiences. ‘Unpleasant’ experiences are essential because they provide the catalysts needed for an STO persona to see what he is not, and consequently grow from this understanding. When one has learned all he needs to know about a certain negative output, it becomes unnecessary for him to experience similar negative encounters thereafter.

4.) Although we are able in fifth density to freely outline a new life, we must also work with karmic considerations. After our first ever incarnation, all subsequent incarnations’ lifeplans must be shaped by our accumulated ‘positive’ and ‘negative’ karma. Karma is a neutral tool that helps us improve the evolutionary potential of our future lives by directing us towards specific areas of focus highlighted by past life actions. For example, if a soul’s persona once joined a National Socialist movement and consequently harmed other people, the soul may choose to be a victim of similar hate in a subsequent life and learn from the experience.

Dimensions and Densities

1.) Dimensions differ from densities in that they follow a horizontal rather than vertical orientation. Parallel – and therefore undetectable – to our perceived present are an infinite number of dimensions representing every alternative possibility in our third density existence. These parallel realities range from lifelines that are imperceptibly different from those we currently perceive, to lifelines so different that they almost defy comparison. When you make a decision that mirrors a decision made by the other ‘you’ in an alternate dimension, a bridging or convergence of dimensions occurs and you get ‘déjà vu’ – the collapsing of an alternative ‘you’ into the current, perceivable ‘you.’ When an entity time travels, he will understand that changing the past does not affect this lifeline’s present; instead, it affects the present of an alternative dimension that, in accord with the law of probabilities, is extremely unlikely to intercept the one from which he came. Thus, you will not instantly vanish from existence if you travelled back in time and killed your parents, and the future ‘you’ will not instantly die if the past ‘you’ committed suicide.

Objectivity and Subjectivity

1.) Truth cannot be subjective, and therefore the quest for truth is the quest for objectivity. However, there are two forms of objectivity, and only the first is attainable within the game:

i) Illusory Objectivity: Illusory objectivity is the closest form of objectivity to which we can currently aspire. It is achieved by following our lifeplan as closely as possible, so that our lives closely resemble what our souls intended. The best approach for this is to remain emotionally detached and maintain a non-judgemental outlook, to be open to all possible theories (this will prevent your reality from filtering potentially useful and truthful literature), to avoid manipulating the Law of Attraction, and, most of all, to follow your intuition at all times. Unless we can simultaneously experience everything within the macrocosm, and therefore be every possible mind, alternative, belief, sound, colour, density, and possibility, true objectivity is unattainable. If we have a different perspective from another soul, subjectivity dominates us. To believe otherwise is wishful thinking, and, ironically, wishful thinking is a prime distorter of reality.

ii.) True Objectivity: Only by simultaneously experiencing the game’s infinite number of subjective experiences can we achieve true objectivity. Thus, only the Source (seventh density) can achieve it.

The Family and the New World Order

1.) Since the beginning of our third density cycle, a network of interrelated bloodlines have guided and controlled humanity with the ultimate intention of installing a global fascist state (the ‘New World Order’). Whether it be the sixties ‘Hippie’ movement, the World Wars, Ghandi’s liberation of India, the LA Riots (electromagnetically-induced mind control), the introduction of the Internet, the Lamaist theocracy of old Tibet, 9/11, the Women’s Liberation Movement, or the composition of key religious texts, the Family have either been substantially or wholly involved. Many of these events are applications of the Hegelian Dialectic – the greatest and most popular mass mind control technique – and all serve to advance the fascist agenda. (Note: Although most conspiracy researchers call these bloodlines the ‘Illuminati,’ I believe that this term has gradually accumulated nebulous connotations. It has become a lexical silhouette onto which all our fears and insecurities are superimposed. I feel that the term ‘the Family’ is purer, and better emphasises the group’s patrimonial essence).

2.) As with all true powerlines, the Family have remained hidden from the outset. Instead, they appoint comparatively powerless, non-bloodline puppets – presidents, kings, queens, chairmen, artists, writers, scientists, martyrs –  who are happy (or, in some cases, blackmailed) to publically advance the agenda in exchange for earthly wealth and respect. Most of these puppets (examples include Barack Obama, Damien Hirst, Charlemagne, Winston Churchill, Adolf Hitler, John Lennon etc.), and the secret orders and institutions to which they often belong (the Bilderberg Group, the Knights of Malta, the upper echelons of Freemasonry [33rd until 360th degree], the Jesuit Order, the Roman papal families [the Houses of Breakspear, Orsini, Cecil, de Medici, etc.], the Californian Satanic powerbases, and so forth) have consciously chosen the STS path, or are STS Wanderers. Many are born without consciences and are clinical psychopaths, although society seldom recognises this fact due to the longstanding misconception that all humans are fundamentally alike.

3.) Unlike their puppets, the upper Family belong to a higher density STO social memory complex that was appointed to serve humanity by incarnating as STS personas who, through their controlling and ‘negative’ actions, provide us with catalysts that help us to polarise or refine our evolution. Although these catalysts will increase in number and severity as the great harvest approaches, the Family’s control never reaches the stage whereby incarnates can no longer exercise their free will.

4.) Family-organised events are often deliberately imperfectly executed to help slumbering minds awaken and polarise. For example, truthseekers often wonder why 9/11 was sloppily organised when some of humanity’s finest minds surely planned it. Why has the Pentagon withheld CCTV footage of what hit it, when advanced digital technology could have inserted a realistic computer-generated Boeing 747 into the video to support the official story? Why were Dick Cheney and George W. Bush forced to improvise their alibis when questioned (and consequently produce contradictory statements) when they could easily have been granted watertight, pre-planned answers? Why are seven of the alleged Muslim hijackers now officially revealed as alive and living in Iran? Nothing in politics happens by accident. The government does not make mistakes. 9/11 could have been so flawlessly executed that even the most jaded of conspiriologists would embrace the official story. If inconsistencies are apparent, then they are intended. The puppets may express disdain at them (mainly because they have to deal with public queries), but their masters always insure that the official stories are penetrable.

5.) The more we research and understand the extent of our manipulation, the more we can free ourselves – and others – from its grip. But remember that these events are also designed to distract us from looking within. Researching world events is important, but we cannot let it consume our lives. We must always prioritise our spiritual development, and remain emotionally detached from the Family’s holographic theatre. Likewise, informing others of the Orwellian agenda is a noble ambition, but we must place emphasis foremost on desired solutions. If we simply expose the agenda and then spend our days scouring newspapers and insider publications for confirmation of its procession, then we assist the truth no greater than the much-read columnist who opines that terrorists caused 9/11. Thoughts and words individualise our realities, and our personal realities determine the consensual reality. If our individual realities are shaped by fear, what emotion therefore shapes the consensual reality?

Erik Verlinde, a Dutch theoretical physicist and string theorist, has some questions about gravity–one question specifically: where does gravity come from? Turns out, Verlinde explains, that gravity is an illusion.

Gravity, of course, is something that have, well, many people have already thought about.  It’s something that we see every day and it’s not like it’s not existent in our ordinary life. But what I mean by that it’s an illusion is that one would eventually like to know where it comes from, an explanation.

Up to now we have, well, descriptions, I mean, Newton, of course, is the one famous for first writing down a theory of gravity and he described why apples fall and why the moon goes around the earth using the same basic equation for gravity, but he described it.  He had to assume that gravity was there and then had to write down a law that described that when two masses are a certain distance, how they attract each other.

But he was also not very happy with the fact that we should just, well, assume that these things, these objects, attract each other and without even anything in between.  So if there are two masses and empty space, there’s no, nothing that really happens between them, but still, they’re attracting each other.  And he thought that was kind of mysterious and that it was something he would have liked to explain in a better way.

So later came Einstein and Einstein, with his theory of relativity, eventually realized that also gravity has to be described in a different way….

Zero-point energy is the lowest possible energy that a quantum mechanical physical system may have; it is the energy of its ground state. All quantum mechanical systems undergo fluctuations even in their ground state and have an associated zero-point energy, a consequence of their wave-like nature. The uncertainty principle requires every physical system to have a zero-point energy greater than the minimum of its classical potential well, even at absolute zero. For example, liquid helium does not freeze under atmospheric pressure at any temperature because of its zero-point energy.

The concept of zero-point energy was developed in Germany by Albert Einstein and Otto Stern in 1913, using a formula developed by Max Planck in 1900.[1][2] The term zero-point energy originates from the German Nullpunktsenergie.[1][2] The German name is also spelled Nullpunktenergie (without the “s”).

Vacuum energy is the zero-point energy of all the fields in space, which in the Standard Model includes the electromagnetic field, other gauge fields, fermionic fields, and the Higgs field. It is the energy of the vacuum, which in quantum field theory is defined not as empty space but as the ground state of the fields. In cosmology, the vacuum energy is one possible explanation for the cosmological constant.[3] A related term is zero-point field, which is the lowest energy state of a particular field.[4]

In 1900, Max Planck derived the formula for the energy of a single energy radiator, e.g. a vibrating atomic unit:[5]

Then in 1913, using this formula as a basis, Albert Einstein and Otto Stern published a paper of great significance in which they suggested for the first time the existence of a residual energy that all oscillators have at absolute zero. They called this residual energy Nullpunktsenergie (German), later translated as zero-point energy. They carried out an analysis of the specific heat of hydrogen gas at low temperature, and concluded that the data are best represented if the vibrational energy is[1][2]

According to this expression, an atomic system at absolute zero retains an energy of ½.

In 1916 Walther Nernst postulated that the vacuum of space is filled with zero-point electromagnetic radiation.[citation needed]

Zero-point energy is fundamentally related to the Heisenberg uncertainty principle. Roughly speaking, the uncertainty principle states that complementary variables (such as a particle’s position and momentum, or a field’s value and derivative at a point in space) cannot simultaneously be defined precisely by any given quantum state. In particular, there cannot be a state in which the system sits motionless at the bottom of its potential well, for then its position and momentum would both be completely determined to arbitrarily great precision. Therefore, the lowest-energy state (the ground state) of the system must have a distribution in position and momentum that satisfies the uncertainty principle, which implies its energy must be greater than the minimum of the potential well.

Near the bottom of a potential well, the Hamiltonian of a system (the quantum-mechanical operator giving its energy) can be approximated as

The concept of zero-point energy occurs in a number of situations.

In ordinary quantum mechanics, the zero-point energy is the energy associated with the ground state of the system. The professional physics literature tends to measure frequency, as denoted by ν above, using angular frequency, denoted with ω and defined by ω = 2πν. This leads to a convention of writing Planck’s constant h with a bar through its top to denote the quantity h/2π. In those terms, the most famous such example of zero-point energy is E={\hbar\omega / 2} associated with the ground state of the quantum harmonic oscillator. In quantum mechanical terms, the zero-point energy is the expectation value of the Hamiltonian of the system in the ground state.

In quantum field theory, the fabric of space is visualized as consisting of fields, with the field at every point in space and time being a quantum harmonic oscillator, with neighboring oscillators interacting. In this case, one has a contribution of E={\hbar\omega / 2} from every point in space, resulting in a calculation of infinite zero-point energy in any finite volume; this is one reason renormalization is needed to make sense of quantum field theories. The zero-point energy is again the expectation value of the Hamiltonian; here, however, the phrase vacuum expectation value is more commonly used, and the energy is called the vacuum energy.

In quantum perturbation theory, it is sometimes said that the contribution of one-loop and multi-loop Feynman diagrams to elementary particle propagators are the contribution of vacuum fluctuations or the zero-point energy to the particle masses.

A phenomenon that is commonly presented as evidence for the existence of zero-point energy in vacuum is the Casimir effect, proposed in 1948 by Dutch physicist Hendrik B. G. Casimir (Philips Research), who considered the quantized electromagnetic field between a pair of grounded, neutral metal plates. The vacuum energy contains contributions from all wavelengths, except those excluded by the spacing between plates. As the plates draw together, more wavelengths are excluded and the vacuum energy decreases. The decrease in energy means there must be a force doing work on the plates as they move. This force has been measured and found to be in good agreement with the theory. However, there is still some debate on whether vacuum energy is necessary to explain the Casimir effect. Robert Jaffe of MIT argues that the Casimir force should not be considered evidence for vacuum energy, since it can be derived in QED without reference to vacuum energy by considering charge-current interactions (the radiation-reaction picture).[6]

The experimentally measured Lamb shift has been argued to be, in part, a zero-point energy effect.[7]

Unsolved problems in physics
Why doesn’t the zero-point energy density of the vacuum change with changes in the volume of the universe? And related to that, why doesn’t the large constant zero-point energy density of the vacuum cause a large cosmological constant? What cancels it out?

In cosmology, the zero-point energy offers an intriguing possibility for explaining the speculative positive values of the proposed cosmological constant. In brief, if the energy is “really there”, then it should exert a gravitational force.[8] In general relativity, mass and energy are equivalent; both produce a gravitational field. One obvious difficulty with this association is that the zero-point energy of the vacuum is absurdly large. Naively, it is infinite, because it includes the energy of waves with arbitrarily short wavelengths. But since only differences in energy are physically measurable, the infinity can be removed by renormalization. In all practical calculations, this is how the infinity is handled. It is also arguable that undiscovered physics relevant at the Planck scale reduces or eliminates the energy of waves shorter than the Planck length, making the total zero-point energy finite.

As a scientific concept, the existence of zero-point energy is not controversial although the ability to harness it is. In particular, perpetual motion machines and other power generating devices supposedly based on zero-point energy are highly controversial and, in many cases, in violation of some of the fundamental laws of physics.[citation needed] However, many engineers claim to have invented such over-unity devices.

Thus, current claims to zero-point-energy-based power generation systems have the status of pseudoscience.[9]

The discovery of zero-point energy did not alter the implausibility of perpetual motion machines. Much attention has been given to reputable science suggesting that zero-point-energy density is infinite, but in quantum theory, zero-point energy is a minimum energy below which a thermodynamic system can never go. Thus according to the standard quantum-theoretic viewpoint, none of this energy can be withdrawn without altering the system to a different form in which the system has a lower zero-point energy.

It is possible that the discovery of new physics will alter this conclusion. For example, in stochastic electrodynamics, the zero-point field is viewed as simply a classical background isotropic noise wave field which excites all systems present in the vacuum and thus is responsible for their minimum-energy or “ground” states. The requirement of Lorentz invariance at a statistical level then implies that the energy density spectrum must increase with the third power of frequency, implying infinite energy density when integrated over all frequencies.[10] If this theory is correct, there is no reason that energy, or for that matter, momentum, could not be extracted, and would of course still leave infinite energy density and infinite momentum density, isotropic in all directions simultaneously, remaining in the wave field.

According to NASA, “the concept of accessing a significant amount of useful energy from the ZPE gained much credibility when a major article on this topic was recently [March 1st, 2004] published in Aviation Week & Space Technology, a leading aerospace industry magazine”.[11]

The calculation that underlies the Casimir experiment, a calculation based on the formula predicting infinite vacuum energy, shows the zero-point energy of a system consisting of a vacuum between two plates will decrease at a finite rate as the two plates are drawn together. The vacuum energies are predicted to be infinite, but the changes are predicted to be finite. Casimir combined the projected rate of change in zero-point energy with the principle of conservation of energy to predict a force on the plates. The predicted force, which is very small and was experimentally measured to be within 5% of its predicted value, is finite.[12] Even though the zero-point energy is theoretically infinite, there is as yet no practical evidence to suggest that infinite amounts of zero-point energy are available for use, that zero-point energy can be withdrawn for free, or that zero-point energy can be used in violation of conservation of energy.[13]

Let’s try Dr. Leary‘s perspective on these mysteries.

To understand neurological space, Dr. Leary assumes that the nervous system consists of eight potential circuits, or “gears,” or mini-brains. Sungazing is also part of the Bates method, an alternative therapy intended to improve eyesight. Ophthalmologists do not regard the method as useful.[5]

 

First Observational Test of the ‘Multiverse’

The theory that our universe is contained inside a bubble, and that multiple alternative universes exist inside their own bubbles – making up the ‘multiverse’ – is, for the first time, being tested by physicists.

Two research papers published in Physical Review Letters and Physical Review D are the first to detail how to search for signatures of other universes. Physicists are now searching for disk-like patterns in the cosmic microwave background (CMB) radiation – relic heat radiation left over from the Big Bang – which could provide tell-tale evidence of collisions between other universes and our own.

UNSOLVED: TOP 10 PROBLEMS IN PHYSICS

  • Are all the (measurable) dimensionless parameters that characterize the physical universe calculable in principle or are some merely determined by historical or quantum mechanical accident and uncalculable? Einstein put it more crisply: did God have a choice in creating the universe? Imagine the Old One sitting at his control console, preparing to set off the Big Bang. “How fast should I set the speed of light?” “How much charge should I give this little speck called an electron?” “What value should I give to Planck’s constant, the parameter that determines the size of the tiny packets — the quanta — in which energy shall be parceled?” Was he randomly dashing off numbers to meet a deadline? Or do the values have to be what they are because of a deep, hidden logic? These kinds of questions come to a point with a conundrum involving a mysterious number called alpha. If you square the charge of the electron and then divide it by the speed of light times Planck’s constant, all the dimensions (mass, time and distance) cancel out, yielding a so-called “pure number” — alpha, which is just slightly over 1/137. But why is it not precisely 1/137 or some other value entirely? Physicists and even mystics have tried in vain to explain why. (more…)

The Heart’s Code: Tapping the Wisdom and Power of Our Heart Energy

Psychologist Pearsall had a personal experience with “energy cardiology” when he had hip cancer. His logical, directing brain struggled over his disease and what it meant to him with his sensitive, more accepting heart. He began to study the heart and learned about its “L energy” and how to recognize its warnings. He went on to study heart transplants and how the background of a new heart could affect its recipient; for example, one man began to yearn for spicy foods and to study Spanish before he knew that his donor had been Hispanic. Documenting the stories he tells with medical and psychological literature, Pearsall states that we have been too brain-focused and have not listened to all the heart has to offer. We should learn to be patient, connected with others, pleasant, humble, and gentle, Pearsall says, and for those who want to find out whether they are cardiosensitive, he presents a personal inventory. Although hardly a work of completely hard science, Pearsall’s effort has much to offer thoughtful readers.
